                                                      The Jota is danced and sung almost everywhere in Spain, but there are regional differences in the execution.

                                     This is a  unique CD recording dedicated with  love  and admiration to the jota sung and its three most outstanding vocal aspects:

• The lyrical side, represented by classic zarzuela jotas that have sung great tenors such as Alfredo Kraus or Plácido Domingo and especially two universal tenors who grew up with the charm of the Jota, the Aragonese Miguel Fleta and the Navarrese Julian Gayarre.

• The song jota with the magnificent compositions of Joaquín Nin, the exceptional Manuel de Falla and the special „canción jota navarra“ composed on purpose by              Salvador Ruiz de Luna for the film Gayarre starring Alfredo Kraus in 1958.

• The popular jotas with special mention to Raimundo Lanas, the great „jotero“ of Navarra and that sang the jotas in the very highest tenor tessitura.He     marked without a doubt a time in spite of dying very young .This „tribute “ is dedicated to his figure.
